Behind the Sash: Mr. Hidden Door Talks PrEP & Pride
In this episode, Alex Torres shares his journey as a first-generation Mexican American living in Dallas, Texas navigating the complexities of sexual health, particularly focusing on PrEP and its impact on his life. He discusses his experiences in the leather community, including winning the title of Mr. Hidden Door 2024. He opens up about why talking honestly about sexual health matters and how stigma still gets in the way of HIV prevention. Alex emphasizes the need for education and empowerment within the LGBTQ+ community, sharing insights from his career in sexual health advocacy and his upcoming participation in the International Mr. Leather competition.
