There are an estimated 50,000 Latinas living with HIV in the United States today. In 2020, there were 5,450 new HIV infections in women. Confessions is a podcast that follows the lives of 6 women who share their journeys.

Citlalin Lopez-Torres is a first-generation Mexican immigrant from Jalisco, Mexico, and a proud graduate of the University of Southern California, where she earned her Master of Public Health in 2022. She currently serves as the Data and Quality Analyst for the UCLA Family AIDS Network, where she is committed to improving access to care for women, infants, children, and youth living with HIV.

Citlalin is also a valued Assistant Producer for the Confessions: HIV Positive podcast, contributing to Seasons 4 -8. Her behind-the-scenes work has been instrumental in shaping episodes that spotlight aging with HIV, PrEP, and family dynamics—all through a culturally responsive lens. Driven by a deep commitment to health equity, she is passionate about amplifying the voices of women, particularly in Latine communities.
